Dr. Terence McIvor has created and coordinated numerous initiatives in higher education. The former Curriculum Manager at of Science & Mathematics , split his role between lecturing, writing of academic qualifications and curricula, coordinating science-related festivals and events, and even creating new subject-specific centers on campus. Dr Mcivor was also the person who brought the Salters festival of Chemistry to Derry. The first time in the U.K. it was held in a further education college
Outside of Derry Dr. Terence McIvor is extremely active in chemical/biochemical teaching. He has always believed that there is an unfortunate disconnect between students, science and maths; he works to improve existing teaching methods or revamp them altogether.
Dr. Terence McIvor is the Founder of Academy of International Science for Research. Also founder of the Irish Guild for NLP, Hypnotherapy and 3 Principles Practitioners and Trainers
He is an OFQUAL accredited qualifications expert for Science at RQF level 7 and STEM at level 6.
He is a leading Master Trainer in Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, an NLP Practitioner, Master Practitioner and Trainer. And also a Certified Instructor for the following prestigious organisations, Elman Hypnosis Institute ,IACT, ,IMDHA and ICBCH. He is also a Certified Hypnotherapist for IACT, IMDHA ,ICBCH and EHI. Dr Terence is a certified Life Coach, certified by the prestigious International Coach Register.(ICR) . His private STEMM academy AISR, is an approved school for IACT, IMDHA , ICBCH offering medical and dental Hypnosis and certified hypnotherapy training. It is also an approved affiliate training institution for the Hypnotherapy Directory U.K. Dr Terence‘s AISR academy also holds accredited status from the International Practitioners for Holistic Medicine, as a complementary medical training organisation, and the Association for Schools, Colleges and Universities uk.
Dr Terence is active in meta research analysis into how the brain and mind works , he is developing a theoretical basis for what consciousness is and how it is switched off and on. This theory involves the Orch Or theory postulated by Penrose and Hameroff.
He is currently writing his second book
